Leveraging a disciplined approach to operating the business, this Senior Leadership team empowers our team members to deliver excellence in the performance of their roles and responsibilities.

Troy Vaughn

President

Troy Vaughn is President and co-founder of Principle Services. He is responsible for providing vision, leadership, strategy, and executive management to the company. Prior to co-founding Principle Services in 2019, his experience in the energy industry includes over 10 years leading cross-functional teams to execute preliminary design, regulatory, right of way acquisition, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of electric transmission construction projects. Troy is a United States Military Academy graduate and United States Army Veteran. After his service, Troy obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University in Operations Management and Energy Finance.

Jason Avent

Senior Vice President

Jason is the Senior Vice President and co-founder of Principle Services. He leads the Operations team, responsible for executing projects with quality, integrity, and efficiency. Before co-founding Principle Services in 2019, Jason led cross-functional teams at an electric utility and managed more than 15 contracting companies to execute scoping, regulatory, right-of-way acquisition, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of electric transmission construction projects. He has accumulated over 19 years of experience in project management, construction management, and entrepreneurial efforts. Jason is a West Texas A&M University graduate with a degree in Business Administration.

Carrie Eberhard

Vice President

Carrie Eberhard is Vice President for Principle Services. She is responsible purposely fostering cohesion and alignment among the vital functions of the business, pursued through developing clear objectives, providing strategic leadership, driving excellence through accountability, and championing a consistent way of doing business. Prior to joining Principle Services in 2020, Carrie gained 7 years of experience within the power industry with roles in engineering and proposal management. She is a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas and Wyoming. Carrie is a graduate of Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. Engineering, Civil Specialty, and the University of Colorado – Denver with a Master of Business Administration.

Melissa Snell

Director

Melissa Snell is the Director of Finance and Accounting for Principle Services. She is responsible for strategic management and oversight of all company financial functions as well as building financial infrastructure for future growth. Prior to joining Principle Services in 2020, Melissa gained 8 years of experience in financial analytics through preparing financial and operational reports and developing various models for analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and valuations helping to drive critical business decisions. Melissa is a graduate of Henderson State University with a B.A. Public Administration and a Master of Business Administration.

Cheryl Trbula

Director

Cheryl Trbula is the Director of Human Resources. She is responsible for leading and setting the people strategy for the organization – ensuring the attraction of top talent, building a productive and motivated workforce, fostering innovation, and realizing the full potential of team members. Prior to joining Principle Services, Cheryl accumulated over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. She has led the HR function in both startup and publicly traded companies overseeing strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and the development of scalable HR systems. Leading with integrity and being a good human has been an important part of her success. Cheryl holds a SHRM-SCP (Society of Human Resource Manager-Senior Certified Professional) certification.
